How to Receive Jesus as Savior and Lord:

  • Admit your need ('I am a sinner') and turn from your sins (repent).
    (Acts 3:19)
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and that He rose from the grave. (John 3:36)
  • Confess that you are a sinner (1 John 1:9)
  • Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come into your life as your personal Savior and Lord. (John 1:12)

"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved…
you and your household."

  Jesus said, "Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). To be "born again," or, more technically, "born from above" is to experience a spiritual change in our lives. The moment you confess your sins to God and receive Jesus Christ as Lord, the Holy Spirit works in us the miracle of the new birth.
  To be a Christian is not a self-effort program whereby we attempt to turn over a new leaf and seek to live morally pure. I’ve listened to people say, "I am going to start trying to be a Christian." That’s impossible! A person becomes a Christian by trusting Jesus. It is in trusting, not trying, that we are saved.
  The Apostle Paul describes it this way: 'That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9,10,13).
  Trust in Jesus Christ as Lord today as you pray:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to save me from my sins. I confess my sins to You. I cannot save myself. I trust Christ and Christ alone to save me. By faith I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I thank You Father that my sins are gone and I have eternal life. I give You my life, Lord Jesus, to serve You and to worship You. Amen."

The Serenity Prayer
Reinhold Niebuhr

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it; trusting that You will
make all things right if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
